this week we have completed the 1st fix joinery to the back cabin we have put up the veenered ash boards to the ceiling and started the cables for the lighting circuits
 
 
Over the last couple of weeks we have fitted the engine and have started work on the trad rear cabin we have made some steel supports for the engine cover and the fitted some removable panels to the top,this will allow for easy servicing and maintenance of the engine.i have lined the cabin with american ash below the gunnels will be painted again for easy maintence ,next week i,ll make the electric cupboard and throttle leaver column this will allow mick to start his electics and commission the engine

 the battening has been done on nb chyandour  its essential to accuratly position the battens so you can hide joints behind bulkheads and conceal fixings of the plywood sheets ,spray foam succesfully completed including cuting back.The trent is higher than weve seen for a couple of years lets hope the rain stops soon  
 
 
Due to a last minute canceled order at Xr&d we have been able to take the cancelled slot and  orderderd a 57ft shell ,this is a bonus for us as there order book is usually full  and to get an extra boat without waiting is great news .As we are really busy with chyndor we can only take it to a lined sailaway stage call us for full details,This week we have put the floor down on chyndor and cut all the battens ready for fitting next week .ihave a beta engine in my workshop (getting in my way mick!)ready to be dropped in but will probably fit it when spray foaming is finished on friday
 
 
 we have fitted the windows and mushrooms to chyndor and have applied a holding coat for extra protection
ballast has been laid (concrete bricks) and the final coat of epoxy below the waterline .After easter engine and floor also tidy workshop ! happy easter from all at kingfisher
 
 
we have handed over the cats whiskers this afternoon to a smiling roger ,we managed to finish all the jobs yesterday leaving us time to go on a trial cruise together ,here are a few completed photos and i,ll up date the photo gallery next week when ive tidied my workshop also a big thanks to jan deuchar for the amazing signwriting its definately the icing on the cake

she is now undercover in the dry dock where we will paint a holding coat on and fit the windows .From launching at sheet stores basin she was towed back by historic narrowboat kestrel the rear end of an old fellows morton and clayton working boat ive made all the drawers for the cats whiskers every one of them has traditional dovetail joints i,ll show a photo of them fitted when ive varnished them
